About the Position: This position is located at the United States Army Installation Management Command, United States Army Garrison Fort McCoy, Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security Training Division, Range Branch, Range Operations Section, Fort McCoy, Wisconsin.
Fort McCoy is located in a good rural area, between Tomah and Sparta. The area offers commendable schools and reasonable housing costs; situated between two major interstates.
Duties
Brief senior leaders and staff on the availability of the installations training resources.
Provide customer service to tenant and transient training units.
Manage Special Use Airspace to coordinate usage.
Monitor the range scheduling section to supervise activity.
Manage Range Facility Management Support System (RFMSS) to serve as Functional Administrator.
Facilitate monthly and weekly activities to schedule meetings.
Compile utilization reports to provide to command.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid state driver's license for operation of government vehicles.
- Must be able to successfully pass Range Safety Certification Examination.
- The duties of this position may require the incumbent to work evenings, nights, holidays, and/or weekends to include modification in shifts and/or tour of duty.
- Standard Form 312, Classified Information Nondisclosure Agreement is required to be filed in the employee's Official Personnel Folder (OPF).

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes working with Range Facility Management; coordination of military training or range operation support; use of military training terminology and methods; managing Special Use Airspace; preparing training documents; and conducting briefings. Use of a range scheduling database system such as Range Facility Management Support System (RFMSS) is required. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
OR
Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Management and Business Administration.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
