Duties
Through subordinate activity mangers, is responsible for overall management of fiscal resources and direction of the Directorate, Morale Welfare and Recreation (DMWR) Community Recreation Division at a large garrison.
Provides leadership and supervision, and communicates mission and organizational goals to subordinates.
Provides policies and guidance to ensure attainment of established objectives of the division.
Directs, develops and administers plans and procedures; implements regulations to provide for a comprehensive community recreation program widely recognized for addressing a broad range of interests and needs of the military community.
Institutes innovative programs to meet future needs, including development and support of contingency operations for mobilization and demobilization.
Coordinates and markets program within the community.
Develops policy and strategic plans addressing resources, facilities and programs.
Reviews program priorities and develops five-year covering projected programs of personnel, funds, and facilities.
Serves as the Garrison representative and advisor on matters relating to recreation and morale support of soldiers and their Families.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements

- Incumbent must file a Confidential Statement of Affiliations and Financial Interest in accordance with the requirements of AR 600-50.
- Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
- Incumbent may be required to work nights, weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Work experience directing/managing one or more DFMWR Recreation Programs for a garrison, or similar civilian operation, for at least one year.
Highly Preferred Qualifications:
1. Possess at least two (2) years of experience in management that includes: budgets, personnel management and customer service.
AND
2. Possess at least three (3) years of experience in managing military Community Recreation Programs, or civilian equivalency.
AND
3. Operational knowledge of Installation Status Report (ISR), Army Community Recreation Online (ACRRO), RecTrac (Recreation Management Point of Sales System) and related Automation Systems or civilian equivalencies.
To qualify as Highly Preferred, you must meet all Minimum Qualifications AND all Highly Preferred Qualifications.
