About the position: This position will be assigned to the Hub at Peterson Space Force Base located in Colorado Springs.
The primary purpose of this position is to perform and/or assist the caterer and Mangement in preparation and/or teardown for special functions, parties, and other events.
This position may require shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
Duties
Duties and Responsibilities:
Sets up and breaks down event area before and after Hub functions.
Follow instructions provided by the caterer and management on room set up.
Checks electronic equipment such as speakers, microphones, projectors, laptop hook ups, etc., for special functions/ parties/ events; incumbent verifies items are in a workable and serviceable condition
Ensures Hub grounds and areas around Hub main buildings are trash free.
Performs on-the-spot maintenance checks and promptly informs management of any repairs that may require CE attention or become safety concerns
May perform minor repairs and/or change items such as doorknobs, lightbulbs, loose screws, etc. that require the use of simple hand tools.
Opens and unpacks cardboard cartons by hand and removes content; lifts and carries light-to-medium packages and place them where directed
Uses dollies to move bulky but relative light loads
may occasionally lift items weighing up to 50 pounds
Performs other related duties as assigned
