This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: This Program Analyst position, NH-0343-03 is located with Program Executive Office Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRi) located in Orlando, FL 32826.
Duties
Reviews and analyzes acquisition documentation and staffs such documentation with the PEO staff offices.
Prepares documentation requiring PEO signature and advises the Director, Acquisition Support and the APEO Acquisition Operations Support on the status of programmatic documentation and actions.
Conducts data mining to analyze and evaluate the data collected from Acquisition documentation.
Evaluates and interprets new or modified DoD/Army acquisition regulations, supports policy guidance for ASA(ALT), and develops recommendations to provide guidance to the acquisition community and ensure implementation.
Reports on a particular program?s acquisition issues achieved through coordination with associated program offices and personnel, and accurate reporting of a system?s progress during the acquisition phases.
Prepares reports as necessary to use as communication tools to alert higher echelons of important issues.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Acquisition Back- to- Basics- Selectee must meet position requirements for practitioner certification in (A) Program Management within 60 months as of entrance on duty.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance for the duration of employment.
- This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.

Specialized Experience
To qualify based on your experience, your resume must reflect one year of experience which prepared you to do the job. Specialized experience is defined as preforming all of the following duties:1) Utilizing quantitative and qualitative data analysis to provide workforce decision support. 2) Preparing and conducting briefings and presentations to senior leaders inside and outside the organization. 3) Developing, evaluating, or coordinating workforce development policies, programs, and procedures for implementation. 4) Collaborating with high level staffing and workforce personnel to coordinate and resolve force structure issues.
