The selectee for this position will serve as an Assistant Project Superintendent in the Weapons Production Division (Code 703), Weapons Repair Department (Code 700) of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY.

Duties

You will coordinate work of support organizations to meet key events, milestones, and testing strategy of the maintenance period. You will prepare technical briefs, reports, and findings. You will repair TRIDENT submarines to meet production goals and command mission. You will work independently with limited supervision to meet production schedules.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
  • Must obtain and maintain an IT Level II designation.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Males must be registered or exempt from Selective Service. www.sss.gov
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • May be required to successfully complete a probationary/trial period.

Qualifications

In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered. Your resume is the key means we have for evaluating your skills, knowledge, and abilities as they relate to this position. Therefore, we encourage you to be clear and specific when describing your experience. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is described such as: Monitor work progress to ensure conformance to required installation standards and instructions. Identify risks to cost, schedules, or quality and develop plans to mitigate these risks. Integrate work from multiple entities into one sequenced plan to support the key events, milestones, and testing strategy of the maintenance period. Coordinate with managers to ensure availability of resources (funds, manpower, facility, or space) necessary to carry out program objectives and operations. Develop solutions to conflict maintenance actions in order to support the maintenance schedule.
