You will serve as a CYBER PLANNING SPECIALIST in the OFFICE OF THE COMMANDER, JOINT FORCE HEADQUARTERS - CYBER, CYBERSPACE OPERATIONS - INTEGRATED PLANNING ELEMENT of US FLEET CYBER COMMAND.

Duties

You will spearhead the utilization of intelligence processes, products, and capabilities supporting the development of cyber operations plans as required by the command. You will analyze intelligence requirements for near-term and long-range planning based on target selection and operational objectives You will incorporate in-depth understanding of intelligence limitations into cyber planning parameters. You will research and clarify inputs from disparate internal and external sources to provide leadership with the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) analysis for evaluating intelligence estimates.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You must successfully complete a Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • Irregular tours of duty, occasional evening/weekend work, and/or extended duty may be required.
  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 331 within 12 months of appointment.

Qualifications

Applicants must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly relates to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by: *Experience applying cyber and intelligence planning, analysis, production, and assessment and operations concepts, principles, and practices essential to cyber operations planning efforts; *Experience performing complex assignments by applying advanced cyber intelligence concepts and knowledge of cyber threats impacting information networks; *Experience providing expertise regarding cyber and intelligence operations processes including the Joint Intelligence Preparation of the Operational Environment (JIPOE) and the Joint Planning Process (JPP) to analyze and address difficult command requirements; *Experience interpreting and adapting guidelines for application to specific cases or problems and analyzing results and recommending changes. This position is within the Work Category PROFESSIONAL at SENIOR WORK LEVEL III, Series and Grade GG-0301-13.
