Duties
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY:
As a Public Health Analyst, you will use your knowledge of and experience with the Office of the Secretary (OS), Office of Global Affairs (OGA), to optimize business results and customer experience by:
Preparing Congressional testimony, policy documents, briefings, reports, summaries, responses to requests for information, and other substantive documents.
Serving as a special projects officer and conducts comprehensive research, review, and analyses on a wide variety of public health-related management programs, to provide a wide variety of complex staff papers that address complex multifunctional issues.
Providing expert-quality formal and informal reports that address vital issues, multi- functional study and analytical approaches, expert-level findings, and cogent, substantive recommendations that are primarily used as the basis for key executive-level management decisions.
Researching and evaluating key public health policies that are central to the Department's mission.
Serving on review committees, study groups, public health task groups, or comparable groups with delegated responsibility for reviewing and developing public health policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Acting as a liaison with policy-level officials to ensure that the respective views and interests are promoted with respect to current and emerging policy issues, and that those views are taken into consideration in policy development and implementation.

GS-14 Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify for this GS-14 position, your resume must clearly demonstrate that you have one full year of specialized experience comparable in difficulty and responsibility to at least the GS-13 level in the federal service by performing the following tasks:
Developing and/or implementing policy initiatives designed to improve the organization.
Working on bilateral and multilateral efforts to advance global health security objectives.
Providing analysis of issues related to global public health emergency preparedness such as, response and recovery, global pandemics and/or health threats.
