About the Position: You will serve as Staff Action Control Officer (SACO) for the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division (CID) under the Office of the Chief of Staff and reports to the Secretary Director Staff (SDS), supporting the Senior Executive Service (SES) Level-2 Director.
Duties
Responsible for fully managing, reviewing and providing recommendations on staff actions for key programs and issues relating to RHC-A's overall mission.
Use multiple automation and information management systems, hardware and software.
Provide guidance for the coordination of efforts for region-wide actions and events ensuring that all resources are properly utilized, ensuring no duplication of effort, and that all organizational and legal requirements are satisfied.
Monitor all actions through to completion, providing assistance as requested.
Collaborate with staff elements to define administrative problems, collect and analyze the data and present recommended solutions to top management.
Responsible for managing, analyzing, operating and making improvements to the workflow management system.
Oversees the day-to-day administrative and managerial operations of the command suite.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This is a drug testing designated position, IAW AR 600-85, a DA Form 5019R must be signed for mandatory drug testing. Individual agrees to submit to a urinalysis on a recurring basis.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: provide a full range of management services including staff counsel, administrative services and program management; develop data reports and information papers; provide recommendations on staff actions for key programs and issues and give advice, counsel, or instruction to personnel on both work and administrative matters. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Applicants must meet all eligibility requirements and minimum qualification requirements prescribed by OPM within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
