About the Position: Fort Novosel is the home of the US Army Aviation "Center of Excellence" and is located in the "Wiregrass" area in Southeast Alabama. Cities immediately around Fort Novosel include Enterprise, Ozark and Daleville. The geography and climate are ideal for year-round activities and an abundance of recreational family activities. It is located only 1-2 hours from some of the most popular Florida beaches.

Duties
Conducts analysis of mission and program goals and objectives of importance.
Identifies resource shortfalls that limit unit readiness and recommend necessary resources to maximize force readiness.
Communicates to commanders in the field and the USACRC leadership, the unit?s readiness andits impact on the Army?s mission.
Conducts research and analysis of readiness policy and programs.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
- This position is an obligate position.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) managing a readiness program for employee Safety and Occupational Health, (2) integrating programs to improve unit readiness, (3) applying regulations applicable to unit readiness, (4) inputting unit readiness data into automated systems, (5) preparing organizational readiness reports, (6) briefing senior management on reports and findings. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
