In this position you will serve as a Supervisory Management and Program Analyst assigned to the Psychiatry and Mental Health Service at the Richard L. Roudebush Veterans Affairs Medical Center (RLR VAMC) located in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Duties

Major Duties:
Develops both long and short-range policies and plans by coordinating the administration needs of Psychiatry and Mental Health Service.
Participates in the analysis and interpretation of workload and other data used in resource planning.
Organizes, administers, and evaluates a segment of an acquisition quality assurance program.
Oversees the Resource Management Requests for additional administrative and clinical FTE for Medicine Service.
Directly supervises the following Psychiatry and Mental Health Service Administrative Operation Team members.
Discussing, investigates, and responds to employee grievances and dissatisfaction to resolve conflicts.
Leads in administering programs concerning travel, tuition support, physician time and attendance, credentialing, and privileging, etc.
Oversees the on-call schedule.
Assists with coordination of quality assurance activities for the Service.
Oversees the Resident Time Keeping program within Medicine Service.
Establishes study methods and techniques to be utilized in substantive program studies/audits.
Provides operational oversight for all Service level control points and has full authority over Service Fund Control Points.
Reviews resource allocation decisions involving Service funds.
Develops procedures and systems for establishing, operating, assessing the effectiveness of administrative control systems.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday - 8:00AM - 4:30PM

Qualifications
To qualify for this Supervisory Management and Program Analyst, GS-12 position,
EXPERIENCE: Possess at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-11) in the Federal Service that has given me the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform the duties of this position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience includes plan, organize, and supervise/direct a team of program staff, Maintain budget information, status of funds and other resources; coordinate period administrative review of clinical privileges for physicians and professional staff, assist with the development and maintenance of a quality improvement and/or performance plan to include data collection and appraisal of effectiveness of clinical activity; extract data and apply analytical techniques to develop recommendations for process improvement; maintain statistics for quality assurance reports; provide analysis on various aspects of health care programs. Physical Requirements: The employee does sedentary work, such as sitting comfortably. There may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items, or driving an automobile.
