About the Position: The incumbent functions as a Medical Logistics Support Operation Analyst. As a medical liaison, the incumbent provides oversight of several AMLC support operation programs. The position is located on Fort Detrick which is within Frederick, Maryland city limits. Fort Detrick is close to a variety of historical cities and sites, sporting venues, fine restaurants, outlet malls, and parks and lakes.
Duties
Coordinate with DoD, Joint Staff, HQDA, and other Services on medical logistics enterprise issues to influence AMLC current and future operations
Conduct comprehensive life cycle program analysis involving multi-national integration of medical operational programs
Research and analyze new or proposed legislation and regulations to determine program requirements and impacts
Track designated US medical logistics interest, publications, Study Drafts, and issuing requests for information
Assist in review of established Medical Logistics Enterprise-related policies and agreements
Make decisions and recommendations to AMLC leadership on medical logistics programs to influence current, future operations and applicable policies
Develop detailed plans for long-range implementation or coordination of MEDLOG program interests as well as development of the criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of the program
Provide liaison function for AMLC to interface with and influence AMLC program interests and coordinates the implementation of operational activities for AMLC
Manage, monitor, and implement medical logistics policies, regulations, and guidance
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position has been designated "Mission Essential."
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315
- This position requires the incumbent to work odd/extended hours as dictated by the program office environment
- This position you may be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft.

Specialized Experience: One year of experience which includes: Experience tracking issues and executing a response related to medical logistics strategic support areas; Experience conducting life cycle program analysis of medical operation programs; such as doctrine, organizations, training, material, leader development, personnel, or facilities; Experience participating in working groups/planning teams to solve complex issues. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
