You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (OA) within DEFENSE SERVICE OFFICE SOUTHEAST.
Duties
You will assist the Administrative Officer (AO) by performing various administrative and clerical duties in support of the command mission, including detachment and branch offices.
You will provide IT services (e.g. information assurance, Information Systems Security Officer, orders NMCI services) ensuring requests are tracked and monitored.
You will assist staff in the preparation and submission of their Permanent Change of Station (PCS) travel claims ensuring all required entries are completed with accuracy and all required receipts and documentation are included for prompt processing.
You will coordinate and plan administrative services for various programs, and to maintain a total management perspective in making administrative decisions and/or recommendations to make applicable modifications to adjust to operational needs.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-5) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating thorough knowledge of standardized administrative principles, concepts, techniques, practices, policies, objectives, and procedures. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as:
Identifying and analyzing problems; weighing relevance and accuracy of information; seeking/generating and evaluating alternative perspectives/solutions; making timely/effective recommendations, based on potential implications of findings or conclusions.
Critically evaluating and identifying the causes of problems, and chooses courses of action that balance the interests of the mission and stakeholders.
Selecting, acquiring, storing, or distributing an organization's resources in the most efficient way possible. Such resources may include materials, equipment, financial resources, inventory, human skills, production resources, or information technology (IT).
Performing work such as preparing, receiving, reviewing, and verifying documents; maintaining office records;
Locating and compiling data or information from files; compiling information for reports;
Maintaining a calendar and informing others of deadlines and other important dates; and similar clerical support work within an organization.
