You will serve as a MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the G-3 (Operations Division), Training Command (TRNGCMD) of TRAINING AND EDUCATION COMMAND (TECOM) QUANTICO, VA.
Duties
You will analyze workforce and training data in order to assist in decision making.
You will coordinate and facilitate entry level training production planning.
You will provide oversight of data entries into Marine Corps Training Information Management System (MCTIMS) by subordinate commands.
You will represent the section or headquarters in meetings, operational planning teams, and working groups as needed.
You will review the Department of the Navy Tracker for new and pending tasks.
You will utilize tact and sound judgment in working within the division, with subordinate and higher headquarters staff members, and high level officials, including representatives of other Services and Department of Defense agencies.
Requirements

- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- Must be available for frequent travel for periods of temporary additional duty (TAD); approximately 10%, for site visits and training.
- Must be available to support off-site work to include telework and continuity of operations courses of action in support of mission requirements.
Qualifications
GS-12
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing expertise in clerical and administrative support duties. Specialized experience must include performing most or all of the following duties: 1) Providing analysis of production metrics and formulating courses of action to inform institutional decisions; 2) Conducting data mining within established databases to collect accurate production data and provide predictive analytics to identify future production barriers, shortfalls or overages using statistical analysis tools such as R, Python, SQL, or Microsoft Excel; 3) Leading working groups and operational planning teams to identify production barriers and provide solutions.

Applicants may also qualify based on education, in lieu of the one year specialized experience listed above, through ONE of the following:
- Successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
OR
- Successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
