Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! Duties
Represents MCCS on all safety and environmental measures to installation and external inspectors. Responsible for developing and implementing a risk management program that includes, but not limited to: asbestos, automatic external defibrillators (AEDs), electrical safety, ergonomics, fall protection, fire safety, hazardous materials, hearing conservation, industrial hygiene, lock out/tag out, occupational safety and health, respirator protection, Voluntary Protection Program (VPP), confined space entry, machine guarding, material handling equipment, pesticide management and environmental programs. Responsible for completion of safety and environmental inspections, ensuring that corrective action is taken when work/patron safety is compromised. Identify and implement strategies and processes to reduce risk and financial loss. Prepare comprehensive reports such as employee/patron accident report, hazardous material information, or safety and fire inspections.

Qualifications
Four years’ of professional experience that demonstrates knowledgeof chemical coding systems, classification storage, and disposal of hazardous materials isrequired as well as extensive knowledge of and experience ensuring environmental regulationsand policies are implemented. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills required. Musthave the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing to supervise staff, serveeffectively in the capacity of MCCS Fire Marshal, and establish a working relationship withmilitary and civilian safety representatives and organizations.Must have good customer service skills. Must have knowledge of general clerical methods andtechniques. Ability to operate office machines, such as personal computers and calculators toaccomplish daily operations. Must have knowledge of automated computer data base systems;to input, retrieve, sort, and manipulate data to facilitate work. Must be able to select and set upstorage locations for non- compatible hazardous waste materials.Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance Security Check is requiredThis is a white-collar position and work requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting, andoccasional lifting up to 20 lbs is required.
