Duties
Responsible for managing and coordinating logistics data, related to cataloging, for strategic acquisition initiatives, long-term sustainment solutions, and end of lifecycle actions for weapons systems.
Serves as a cataloging expert to resolve problems in logistics data where the solution requires research, identification, coordination, and use of innovative solutions.
Provides expert advice on logistics and technical data to the Military Services, contractors, and/or DLA representatives during the weapon system provisioning process.
Responsible for communicating data analysis results, status reports, and developing/presenting briefings for key stakeholders regarding cataloging project initiatives.
Disseminates weapon system cataloging information to logistics personnel as applicable to highlight areas where alternative supply actions are necessary to enhance systems/customer support.
Develops and presents high-level presentations detailing Logistics Information Services cataloging processes utilized to support logistics life cycle efforts and product support initiatives, to include Federal/DLA supply system processes.
Responsible for leading, planning and implementing provisioning projects, resolving project conflicts, and coordinating the workload of others as necessary.
Leads organizational response to unprecedented developments during the cataloging and provisioning process, with a focus on developing organizational precedent for similar scenarios that may arise in the future.
Responsible for providing expert opinions, decisions and recommendations regarding cataloging data management issues to higher level management and lower graded personnel.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Weapons System Support Analyst your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Performing and providing accountability for cataloging project management activities on assignedweapon system(s) with emphasis on creating/improving National Stock Number (NSN) data to enhance warfighter readiness and support.
Advising supervisor and/or organizational leadership on controversial matters having impact on cataloging procedures and logistics data within the DOD community utilizing a high level of project management skills to establish and track cataloging milestones, progress, and resolve issues.
Possesses demonstrated comprehensive communication skills with the ability to effectively correspond with different audiences for both national and international cataloging issues and lead diverse, crossfunctional working groups.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
