The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Information Technology Integration manager with responsibility for planning and coordinating the installation, testing, modifying, upgrading, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems for the Air Force Targeting Center (AFTC).
Duties
1. Performs services as a systems integration manager.
2. Provides technical guidance and instruction to user and other IT specialists.
3.Serves as an IT technical advisor to AFTC management.
4. Maintains liaison with manufacturers, professional organizations, and counterparts at other installations and services regarding available products and state-of-the-art technologies and advancements.

- This is a Centrally Managed position. Mobility is a condition of employment. The employee must sign an Air Force-wide mobility agreement.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Information Technology (IT) Management Series 2210 (Alternative A).
This is a GG-13 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-13 duties for the "Information Technology Support" work category are at the "full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-13 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate
GS-5 through GS-15 (or equivalent): For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. The employing agency is responsible for identifying the specific level of proficiency required for each competency at each grade level based on the requirements of the position being filled.
Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include knowledge of systems integration methods, performance tuning methods, test and evaluation methods and procedures, IT security principles and methods, and project management principles and methods sufficient to plan and coordinate the installation of new products or equipment. Knowledge of configuration management methods and techniques for integrating information system components sufficient to install and maintain software and hardware, optimize functionality of systems, and diagnose and recover failed systems.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Broad knowledge of the principles, methods, and practices for integrating information system components
sufficient to plan, coordinate, and administer computer systems, and optimize system performance.
2. Awareness of the latest advancements in technology to initiate corrective or preventative action to ensure optimum
performance of the system.
3. Advanced knowledge of performance tuning tools, database management, and project management methods sufficient to
optimize systems performance, troubleshoot database performance problems, and perform a wide range of systems
administration functions.
4. Advanced knowledge of operating systems, associated devices, and the interoperability of systems sufficient to install,
upgrade, troubleshoot, test, and maintain those systems; to optimize the functionality and performance of systems; and to
ensure the availability, integrity, efficiency, and reliability of servers.
5. Ability to apply methods and practices for troubleshooting, recovering, adjusting, modifying, and improving systems to
solve complex problems, provide support that minimizes interruptions in service to customers, and maintain liaison with
industry and other activities to provide awareness of state-of-the-art technology.
6. Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINUED:
1. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Security Clearance. This position is designated Special Sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.
2. This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions present a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
3.This position is in the excepted service authorized by Title 10 USC and covered by the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The employee must also sign a Statement of Understanding prior to occupying a DCIPS position. Any U.S. citizen may apply.
4.The duty of this position meets all requirements as a category 4 designation and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the parent Federal Agency or office to function effectively. This position must be removed from the Ready Reserve and CAN NOT become a member of the Ready Reserve. (IAW: DoDD 1200.7, "Screening the Ready Reserve,")
