The incumbent must prepare drafts of proposals and reports as directed by the Subcommittees, organize and perform outreach to conduct meetings where Subcommittees hear testimony on civil rights issues, and research and analyze data and recommendations in the transcripts from those meetings.

Qualifications
These positions will be filled at the GS-11 or GS-12 level. Upon completion of qualification requirements and satisfactory performance, the selectee may be noncompetitively promoted to the next higher grade, up to the full performance level of GS-13.GS-11:Qualifying experience for the GS-11 level includes one year of specialized experience at least equivalent to GS-9 which is in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.Specialized experience is work where you demonstrated comprehensive knowledge, skill, and experience assisting with conducting research for civil rights projects, studies, and proposals regarding the political, social, legal, and economic factors influencing socioeconomic inequality and the denial of equal protection under the law based on sex, race, national origin, religion, age, or disability; collecting, reviewing, analyzing, or organizing statistical information using public and private data source and archives which concerns the income, education, employment, occupational classifications, housing, social services, etc., of minorities, women, older persons, persons with disabilities, and/or persons of various national origins and religions.SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Experience requirements at the GS-11 level may be met by three (3) full academic years of graduate level education, or the successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or the successful completion of an LL.M. degree.COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Equivalent combinations of successfully completed education and experience may be used to meet the experience requirements.GS-12:Qualifying experience for the GS-12 level includes one year of specialized experience at least equivalent to the GS-11 level which is in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.Specialized experience is work where you demonstrated comprehensive knowledge, skill, and experience conducting qualitative and/or quantitative research for civil rights projects, studies, and proposals regarding the political, social, legal, and economic factors influencing socioeconomic inequality and the denial of equal protection under the law based on sex, race, national origin, religion, age, or disability; collecting, reviewing, analyzing, or organizing statistical information using public and private data source and archives which concerns the income, education, employment, occupational classifications, housing, social services, etc., of minorities, women, older persons, persons with disabilities, and/or persons of various national origins and religions.
