This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: This Program Manager (Product Lead Acquisition) position will be assigned to the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (JPEO-CBRND), located at Fort Detrick, MD.
Duties
Serve as a Supervisory Deputy Product Manager (DPM) for an assigned Joint Product Management Office.
Responsible for all aspects of DoD acquisition to include development, testing, system integration, production, fielding, sustainment and product improvements with a multi-million-dollar annual budget.
Maintain continuous liaison and monitors collaborative planning with pertinent military users, DA staff and other agencies to render advice and counsel on assigned management activities.
Responsible for the analysis and evaluation of programs as they affect assigned equipment.
Oversee POM planning, cost estimating, program planning, programming, budgeting, program integration, interoperability and oversight.

- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
- Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Level Practitioner in the Acquisition Career Field (Program Manager) within 60 months of entrance on duty.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as performing ALL of the following duties: 1) Interpreting regulatory guidance pertaining to property or accountability practices for logistics management programs; 1) Developing operational budgets for assigned projects; 2) Analyzing acquisition program evaluation documentation and making any needed adjustments; and 3) Overseeing acquisition project responsibilities such as development, acquisition, testing, life cycle support, resources management, contracting, scheduling, personnel and facilities.
