You will serve as a Management Analyst at the GG-12 grade level serving as the team lead for an administrative staff that manages and oversees various command programs located at Fr. Meade, MD.

Duties

You will serve as the activities Administrative Specialist(N1) as a direct report to the Executive Officer. You will serve as the subject matter expert for administrative policy and procedural guidance to senior leadership. You will advise Activity Commander of inconsistencies and recommended actions in consonance with applicable directives. You will access and utilizes a variety of Navy-wide databases and websites in the performance of duties You will review products prepared by other government agencies or other elements of his/her assigned activity for technical accuracy and logical treatment and interpretation of information.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service) which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This position may require a 2-year DCIPS trial period requirement.
  • This position may be subject to polygraph examination.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector such as: 1. Leadership skills to manage a team of administrative professionals. 2. Subject matter expert on administrative policy and procedural guidance. 3. Draft/edit evaluations, awards, general correspondence, memo's and publications such as the Plan of the Week. 4. Identify gaps in materials, specifies methods and requirements to fill gaps, and evaluates the information collected in response to those requirements.
