You will serve as an Engineering Technician in the Research & Development Group, Weapons & Energetics Dept, Ordnance, Test & Evaluation Div, Test Logistics & Support Branch of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.
Duties
You will set up energetic tests in accordance with written test procedures, standard operating procedures and blueprints.
You will operate specialty equipment to include forklifts, man lifts, cranes etc.
You will be responsible for transportation and storage of ordnance.
You will be responsible for inventory management of energetic materials.
You will use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and other industrial equipment.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Ordnance certification.
Qualifications
DT-03:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DT-02 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Setting up energetic tests in accordance with written test procedures, standard operating procedures and blueprints; 2) Checking and installing sensors, data lines and data acquisition systems including thermocouples, accelerometers, pressure transducers, load cells, strain gauges, and linear variable differential transformers; 3) Operating specialty equipment such as forklifts, man lift, and cranes; 4) Troubleshooting instrumentation and electrical problems.
DT-02:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DT-01 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Working knowledge of written test procedures, standard operating procedures and blueprints; 2) Checking and installing sensors, data lines and data acquisition systems including thermocouples, accelerometers, pressure transducers, load cells, strain gauges, and linear variable differential transformers; 3) Operating specialty equipment such as forklifts, man lift, and cranes.

DT-02:
Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree (a) with major study in an appropriate field of engineering, construction, or industrial technology; or (b) that included at least 24 semester hours in any combination of courses such as those shown above for GS-3 (or equivalent). At least 6 of the 24 semester hours must have been in drafting if the position has been designated by a drafting area of specialization.
