This position serves as an IT Specialist for all phases of systems lifecycle including planning, management, development, and execution. If selected, you will be responsible for achieving Patent business priorities in automation development.

Specialized Experienceis experience that has equipped applicants with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the federal service.
For GS-12: Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience that demonstrated technical range of knowledge of IT systems development lifecycle phases such as planning, requirements analysis, design and implementation; experience with the operation and maintenance of systems including applying IT security policies, principles, and standards; experience with providing customer support and ensuring accurate dissemination of information to customers (internal and external) and escalating issues on a timely basis; experience briefing and providing technical recommendations to senior management on IT security threats, vulnerabilities and incidents; and experience providing project management support for major IT products, services and/or capabilities.
For GS-13: Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience that demonstrated advanced technical range of knowledge of IT systems development lifecycle phases such as planning, requirements analysis, design, development, and implementation; experience with the operation and maintenance of systems including enforcing IT security policies, principles, and standards; providing customer support and ensuring accurate dissemination of information to customers (internal and external) and escalating issues on a timely basis; experience briefing and providing technical recommendations to senior management on IT security threats, vulnerabilities and incidents; and experience providing project management support for major IT products, services and/or capabilities.
For GS-14: Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience that demonstrated expert technical range of knowledge of IT systems development lifecycle phases such as leading in planning, requirements analysis, design, development, and implementation; experience with the operation and maintenance of systems including enforcing IT security policies, principles, and standards; providing customer support and ensuring accurate dissemination of information to customers (internal and external); experience briefing and providing advanced technical recommendations to senior management on IT security threats, vulnerabilities and incidents; and experience managing all phases of project management in support of major IT products, services and/or capabilities.
In addition to meeting specialized experience requirements, you must have the following IT-related experience demonstrating these competencies:
