Per 5 CFR 335.103(c)(3)(v), this is a non-competitive reassignment opportunity open to those qualified who hold (or have held) a position equivalent to (or higher than) an NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalency) on a permanent basis in the competitive service. You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the JOINT CREW SYSTESM BRANCH of the EXPEDITIONARY EW SYSTEMS DIVISION in the SPECTRUM WARFARE SYSTEMS DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.

Duties

You will be a CREW Logistics Specialist, assisting with the monitoring and coordinating DEPOT schedules and FSR requirements, while coordinating and running the Program Office IPT and associated meetings. You will report out to Command and the Program Office the status of all OCONUS support being performed as well as maintaining the TAV and IUID databases for all Fielded CREW equipment. You will ensure that all DOD/NAVSEA requirements are met for fielded ACAT II systems. You will help define, organize tasks to create schedules, assigning local resources. You will monitor all work being accomplished by local logistics team and partners, assuring all tasks are accomplished on time and correctly. You will help with the transition form the current fielded system to the future CREW systems currently being manufactured.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the pay band, NT-03 (GS-09/10 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing and identifying Integrated Logistical Support (ILS) and product support requirements to develop or adjust plans and schedules throughout a electronic warfare system's lifecycle. Education

In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

OR

Successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.

OR

Successfully completed an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.

OR

A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
