The Facilities Operations Branch is responsible for providing disaster recovery support and planning, facility management services for all USPTO computer facilities to include physical environment and electrical support, as well as equipment management and tracking for all hardware devices in these facilities.
Duties
This position requires for the selected individual to perform duties of complexity, significance, and importance in an area where precedents are inadequate or nonexistent in solving the agency's computer system and application architecture problems. Participates in conducting extensive investigations and analyses on the sources to determine methods and processes to research; analyze inventory and mapping; and select preferred products.

Information Technology (IT) Management Series, 2210 (Alternative A)
Specialized Experience is experience that has equipped applicants with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, the next lower grade level is a GS-12.
Specialized experience must include all of the following in order to qualify:
1. Experience forming assigned studies/projects related to IT acquisition methods/processes, Software Group, IT Roadmaps; and
2. Ability to research, formulate, and produce theories, principles, concepts and practices in the area of Enterprise Architecture, Application Architecture and Federal Enterprise Architecture.
In addition to meeting the specialized experience requirements, you must have IT-related experience demonstrating these competencies:
