About the Position: Serves as a Lessons Learned Analyst (Operations) for the Joint Activities Command at Fort Liberty, NC.
Duties
Collect, analyze, and disseminates joint strategic and operational lessons and best practices from operations and exercises.
Represent the Commanding General as a liaison officer in support of command requirements.
Analyze tactics, techniques, and procedures in direct support or special operations forces and interagency partners during operations.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET Security Clearance with Specialized Compartmented Information (SCI) access.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, employee must successfully pass a urinalysis screening prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- May be required to work uncommon tour of duty hours, working either fixed or rotating shift which may include evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
- This position is Deployable and may travel 30% or more to OCONUS locations. A physical is REQUIRED as a condition of employment prior to appointment and as needed, thereafter
- Position subject to one year probationary period unless previously completed.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Reviewing data related to operations/ exercises and recommending solutions; 2) Implementing qualitative and quantitative techniques to measure the effectiveness of military operations; 3) Preparing oral and written products for presentation to senior leaders. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
