Duties
Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work.
Provides leadership in the development of long-term plans and operational architectures sufficient to support the strategic vision of the command and intent into executable tasks that support operations.
Conducts reviews and analyses of emerging technologies and capabilities in order to fill identified gaps or deficiencies in strategic mission operations and ensure regulatory compliance for safeguarding financial management data and transactions.
Responsible for briefings to senior leadership and represents the organization in meetings, conferences, and working groups regarding the execution of current plans and strategies for managerial, administrative, and/or technical USAFMCOM operations.
Determines what shifts in program or operational emphasis are required to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and economy of current operations and/or resolve compliance deficiencies.
Coordinates development and promulgation of related standing operating procedures (SOPs) and training plans for the Command.

- Department of the Army DA Civilians must successfully complete all mandatory Civilian Education System CES courses which may require travel.
Qualifications
Time in Grade:
For entry at the GS-14 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-13 or higher grade in the Federal Service.
Specialized Experience:
For the GS-14, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-13 if outside the Federal service.
Specialized experience is defined as experience supporting daily operations of a military organization, developing long term plans, making recommendations to senior leadership to improve operational capabilities, and coordinating with diverse stakeholder groups to execute plans and achieve command objectives.
In addition to meeting the specialized experience requirements, qualified applicants must also possess the quality of experience as it relates to how closely or to what extent an applicant's background, recency of experience, education, and training are relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the announced position. Candidates must clearly demonstrate the possession of knowledge, skills and abilities, or competencies necessary to successfully perform the work of the position at the appropriate level to be qualified for the position.
