You will serve as a Program Manager for GT31500, PEO (JSF) ACQUSITION SUPPORT BRANCH of NAWCTSD ORLANDO located in Arlington, VA. This position will work under the delegated authority of the F35 Training Systems & Simulation Program Management Office (TSS PMO) Program Manager.

Duties

You will make an extensive amount and range of technical judgments as well as management decisions based on interpretation of the current status of program development. You will frequently provide advice to senior DoD and Program leadership on complex issues, often times with little or no precedent. You will ensure a balance at all times between program requirements, resource allocation and priorities and initiates actions to correct any imbalances. You will integrate resource requirements with multi-year acquisition and support plans to develop POM and budget inputs

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position is a designated Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). You must sign a three-year tenure agreement prior to assuming the position unless a tenure waiver is approved.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12/13) or pay band (DA-05) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following: 1) Leading an Integrated Program Team (IPT) in providing program management and risk management support for training systems; 2) Planning, directing, and evaluating acquisition, management, technical development, and financial control for a training systems program in terms of risk, performance, schedule and cost; 3) Planning for and synthesizing requirements of competency areas such as engineering, logistics, budget, contracts, configuration management, and other functional specialties into integrated strategies to support a training systems acquisition program; and/or 4) Monitoring progress, planning engagements and revising program planning to meet changing conditions for a training systems acquisition program.
