You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Comptroller Division of NAMEDRSCHU DAYTON W PATT AFB.

Duties

You will anticipate and meet the needs of both internal and external customers. You will prepare, review, and reconcile financial statements and financial reports to meet reporting requirements and to support management decisions. You will analyze, evaluate, and review budget and program issues and financial data and report using business tools and applications, cost and economic analysis, and performance metrics to provide recommendations.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• This is a Financial Management Level 1 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience analyzing financial data, providing financial advice, and conducting financial research. Experience applying financial management principles and practices, budgeting, financial analysis and relevant software applications. Experience performing financial budgeting functions to include analyzing and recommending costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management organizations programs and administrative operations. Experience utilizing integrated federal financial management systems and sub-systems to extract data, identify and resolve system problems, and maintain data integrity. Experience identifying and analyzing problems; weighing relevance and accuracy of information; to provide alternative perspective/solutions. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

GS-11:Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.M., if related
