You will serve as a SUPERVISORY QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST in the Technical Department, Strategic Weapons Facility Atlantic, (SWFLANT) of SWFLANT KINGS BAY.
Duties
You will supervise Quality Assurance personnel who investigate, analyze, develop, plan, coordinate, and monitor all phases of quality and technical work (contractor, military and civilian) for assigned program projects and steady state operations.
You will assign work to match personnel capabilities and qualifications with project scope, completion time frame, general requirements, budgetary and technical
constraints, policies, and project goals.
You will initiate actions that require ensuring required completion dates are met or initiates action to revise completion date.
You will provide leadership to the organization to accomplish its mission and objectives, ensure its team members are successful, and resolve issues and problems as they arise.
You will leverage knowledge and skills to develop, plan, prioritize and manage all necessary resources to accomplish the Command?s objectives and the goals of their assigned areas.
You will manage the performance and productivity of employees through clear and specific job objectives and expectations, constructive feedback, timely and appropriate rewards and recognition, and accurate performance evaluations.
You will manage and direct technical and administrative functions of the Quality Verification Section, which include the preparation, implementation and
maintenance of Quality Verification Programs.
You will apply professional and technical experience to assure the highest degree of quality missile system, assembly, guidance, and SWS related components are processed and delivered in accordance with contract and defined engineering requirements.
You will establish and maintain good working relationships with employees while performing assigned duties, exercising tact, diplomacy and good judgment for the purpose of effective and efficient accomplishment of assigned duties, and objectives.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- This position is subject to provisions of the Nuclear Weapons Personnel Reliability Program (PRP) when applicable.
- This position is subject to provisions of the Nuclear Weapons Radiological Controls Program for occupationally exposure to ionizing radiation (NUWEPS RADCON), when and if applicable.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band NH-02 (GS-11 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: overseeing and evaluating assigned quality assurance program objectives by developing and implementing quality assurance procedures to enhance program compliance and operating efficiency.
