About the Position: Position is located at NMRTC Camp Lejeune in the Directorate for Branch Clinics. Position is mostly in an office setting however also requires traveling to the multiple geographically dispersed clinics between Camp Lejeune and MCAS New River. Hours of work are Monday-Friday 0730-1600. Position will be challenging, and applicant can expect to continuously learn as well as home in on and improve administrative and leadership abilities.

Duties

Provide administrative and technical supervision over all administrative functions. Manage and oversee the administrative and business operations for the directorate. Operate advanced word processing programs, personal computer, Microsoft programs, data analysis programs, etc. Serve as a hiring manager, developing and certifying positions descriptions, and initiating hiring requests for the organization. Serve as the initial point of contact for the directorate for directorate, command and tenant command staff and personnel.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position may require the incumbent to complete a one-year supervisory probationary period.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position has mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire).
  • This position is eligible for situational telework pending approval by management.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position if the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementComputer SkillsManaging Human ResourcesOral Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
