About the Position:
Serve as the Administrative Specialist for the Directorate of Public Works (DPW), Fort Sill, Oklahoma.
Duties
Deal directly with the operating level managers regarding all aspects of civilian personnel and human resources management.
Perform a wide variety technical administrative duties associated with the organization, coordination and execution of administrative support within DPW.
Independently carries out non-supervisory complex day-to-day operational responsibilities of the Administrative Office, including administrative coordination of a high number of divisions within DPW.
Provide coordination of all audits related requirements across the directorate, is the Internal Control lead for the directorate.
Develop work plans and carries out assignments in accordance with applicable regulations, determining actions to be taken by divisions and sections.
Establish internal procedures to ensure adequate control in terms of deadlines, progress reports, and directives.
Provide advice and assistance on the processes and procedures of performance management systems, directorate training requirements/tracking, safety program, directorate operational security program and directorate incentive awards program.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

- Defense National Relocation Program will NOT be authorized.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Brief senior level officials on the status of current taskers. 2. Review actions concerning all civilian administrative and personnel management matters. 3) Coordinate with civilian personnel specialists to finalize job descriptions and action request documents. AND 4) Track suspense dates and priorities for current actions/taskers using automated systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph. D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. (NOTE: You MUST attach a copy of your transcripts.)

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
