You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the MAINTENANCE AND LIFE CYCLE BRANCH of the GUNS DIVISION in the SYSTEMS INTEGRATION DEPARTMENT of NAVSURFWARCEN IH DIV. This position is equivalent to the GS-11/12 level.

Duties

You will manage all aspects of logistics support throughout the life cycle of the system, from development, to deployment, to sustainment, and final to disposal. You will use solid configuration management practices in the development and life cycle management of paper and electronic technical manuals to include proofing, verification, certification, printing, and distribution. You will provide continuing updates to existing documentation, plans and processes that are used to maintain in-service, newly manufactured, overhauled and modernized equipment.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the pay band, NT-03 (GS-09/10 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing and identifying Integrated Logistical Support (ILS) and product support requirements to develop or adjust plans and schedules throughout a weapons system's lifecycle. Education

In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

OR

Successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.

OR

Successfully completed an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.

OR

A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
