This position is located in the Office of the Associate Administrator for Strategic Sealift. Maritime Administration (MARAD). This position is established to develop and direct policies designed to document significant historical events primarily concerning MARAD’s National Defense Reserve Fleet (NDRF) program and the Ready Reserve Force (RRF).

Qualifications
To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience qualifications for the grade.To qualify for the Grade 14, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-13, it must include:
Experience in performing a diverse range of duties involving historical research, analysis, interpretation, and preservation.
Experience working with officials from various organizations.
Experience working on budgeting, contracting, project management, property management and leading a team.

Education
Basic Requirements
- Degree: history; or related field that included at least 18 semester hours in history.
or
- Combination of education and experience: courses equivalent to a major in history, or a major in a related field that included at least 18 semester hours in history, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
