About the Position: Serves as a Branch Chief in the Engineering Systems, Business Operation and Integration Division (BOID), Directorate of Public Works (DPW).
Duties
Direct and participate in long-range and annual work planning, establishment of annual work programs, and review and evaluation of Resource Management activities.
Perform internal personnel administration and management tasks.
Participate with supervisor in analyzing operations, procedures, and organization, and make authoritative recommendations on proposed functional and organizational changes.
Utilize General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) to acquire a variety of resource and cost related reports.
Perform the full range of supervisory duties and responsibilities.
Initiate correspondence and action necessary to ensure the orderly, expeditious, and economical administration of long-range and annual planning requirements.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes work that demonstrates experience conducting analysis of existing programs; determining impact of changes in financial and manpower changes; monitor funding adjustments to achieve program goals; conduct studies to evaluate and recommend ways to improve the productivity, effectiveness and efficiency of operations.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
