About the Position: Serves as expert advisor and staff action officer with V-Corps HQ, G1.
Duties
Utilize information systems to accomplish HR work functions.
Respond to questions or inquiries from headquarters staff elements or offices throughout the command.
Assists personnel with benefits changes online such as: FEGLI, FEHB, FSA, TSP, etc.
Resolves employee personnel issues or passes on the complex requests for assistance to the servicing CPAC personnel specialist.
Provides advice and assistance to supervisors, employees and personnel in a wide variety of management employee relations to include matters such as: performance issues, conduct actions (disciplinary and adverse actions), grievances, appeals, etc.
Plans and conducts surveys and the collection of information data for the preparation of special reports.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Selectee must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.
- Must be able to work extended and/or other than normal duty hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime to the extent determined by the supervisor.
- Must be able perform a Temporary Change of Station (TCS) for not less than 6 months, but no more than 30 months.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state-issued driver's license.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Forces Certificate of License.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a government driver?s license to operate non-tactical vehicle/transportation motor pool (NTV/TMP) vehicles such as a sedan or small passenger van.
- Must be able to work under austere living conditions, as well as, share accommodation under field conditions (containers, tents and/or barracks).
- Must be able to perform business related travel up to 60% of the time.
- IAW DoD Policy, must be able to obtain and maintain a no-fee Special Issuance Passport (SIP) and associated visa while assigned to a Federal civilian position in an area requiring a passport and associated visa.
- An RPA will be required when the employee is in the exempt area for more than forty-two days.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: develop human resources policies, concepts, and guidelines; provide staff assistance and advisories; provide personnel assistance, and regulatory advice and guidance; utilize automated systems to coordinate classification of position descriptions; assist with benefit elections and entitlements.. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
