This position serves within the Women Veterans Health Program and is responsible for planning, coordinating and performing a wide range of daily critical administrative, program, and technical functions to support Women Veterans and the Women's Health Clinic. This position is assigned to the Chief of Staff office and reports directly to the Women Veterans Program Manager.
Duties
Major duties include:
Coordinate and provide administrative support to the Women Veterans Health Program including assistance with education and outreach efforts.
Assist with tracking and gathering of data needed for information management, education and reporting as it relates to the management of the mammogram and Pap smear screening process and other Women's Health program areas
Draft, edit and process memos, plans, local policies, standard operating procedures and other official correspondence.
Periodically travel to Community Based Outpatient Clinics to assist in EOC rounding, assists in training related to Women's health and to conduct survey preparation regarding Joint Commission standards and other regulatory agencies.
Serve as Fund Control Point Clerk/Purchase Card Holder for the Women Veterans Health Program and processes requests for all supplies and materials related to the program. Assists in development of annual budget.
Perform training support duties such as coordination, acquisition and/or maintenance of training records and files.
Assist with New Employee Orientation and educates Veterans and Staff on Women's Health program.
Educate and guide other staff on the topics and information related to the Women's Health Program.
Serve as the program's liaison to the purchasing/procurement office to arrange for, monitor, and secure equipment, services, and products.
Assist with the coordination and monitoring of purchasing/procurement transactions for the full range of standard items and services to meet the program's needs.
Maintain the program's procurement/purchasing records and reports; establish and maintain administrative and subject matter files.
Serve as a primary timekeeper for the Women's Health program staff and alternate timekeeper for the Chief of Staff office.
Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 7:30AM - 4:00PM, subject to change based on the needs of the facility.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 08/31/2023.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-6 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-5. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade.

You may qualify based on your experience as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-05 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
Communicate effectively with all levels of employees.
Skilled in oral and written communication and ability to apply those skills in coordination with problem solving efforts.
Experience with laws, regulations, and policies that affect administrative operations and areas of responsibility such as, internal controls, and sensitive but unclassified information
Plan, organize, and implement assigned tasks under strict deadlines as directed by the service.
Collaborate with other services to resolve problems and implement operationally productive and cost-effective changes.

Physical Requirements: The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, books, or small parts. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
