About the Position: Serves as a Tactical Operations Planner for the Joint Activities Command at Fort Liberty, NC.

Duties

Serve as a Tactical Operations Planner and advisor for Command, Control, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C2ISR) related plans, exercises, and operations. Develop and advise on Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) plans, programs, exercises, and policies which support mission requirements. Functions as the residential technical authority for ground force integration including the Training, Tactics, and Procedures (TTPs) into the planning and acquisition strategies for the Command?s airborne C2ISR program.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top-Secret security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information SCI.
  • This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter.
  • A satisfactory medical examination for is required prior to assignment into the position for worldwide deployments and heavy lifting. Anthrax vaccination will be required.
  • Must be willing to submit to Counterintelligence Polygraph if required.
  • Subject to short notice recall. Incumbent must reside within normal commuting distance of Fort Bragg (50 miles and within 1 hour response).
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless previously completed.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Organizational AwarenessPlanning and EvaluatingTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
