You will serve as a IT SPECIALIST (SYSANALYSIS) in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Financial Management and Comptroller) (ASN (FM&C)), Office of Financial Management Systems (FMS) of ASN.
Duties
You will apply IT principles, concepts, methods, standards, and practices to IT program planning and management.
You will interpret and apply policies and procedures governing the planning and delivery of mission-critical IT services.
You will apply knowledge of financial systems needed to provide program support.
You will advise on appropriate application of financial standards and process for all systems to facilitate assessment of audit readiness and assurance with compliance, regulations, and policies.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field Engineering and Technical Management (ETM). Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.
- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 within 12 months of appointment.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing technical guidance and advice on IT theories, principles, concepts, standards and practices; AND managing and providing technical direction/oversight for various Financial Management systems.
Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
