You will serve as a LEAD LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the LOGISTICS & INDUSTRIAL OPS GROUP of NAWCTSD ORLANDO.
Duties
You will serve as the Team Leader to other logistics management specialists, and be the central point of contact for communicating task and work assignments.
You will communicate the organization?s mission, vision, initiatives and values to the team to ensure team goals, objectives, and work plans are aligned and carried out.
You will utilize appropriate problem solving methods and techniques, provide advice on work methods, practices and procedures, and assist the team with the use of management tools.
You will apply a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative techniques to identify, assess, analyze and improve team effectiveness, efficiency and work products.
You will lead and coordinate the execution of the assigned training systems efforts for the acquisition, procurement, and/or support of customer solutions.
You will conduct detailed research and formulates metrics to capture the effectiveness of Procurement Request (PR) development, Procurement Initiation Documents (PIDs), and Technical Evaluation (Tech Eval) processes in assigned technical areas.
You will provide budget inputs, and monitor and assess logistics supply support budget milestones for assigned areas of responsibility, including internal work years, contract support services, and project support services.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate most or all of the following:
1) Providing supply support from concept refinement and technology development through disposal to ensure maintainability, readiness, supportability, and affordability and takes the lead in identifying and resolving complex supply support problems, and proposes solutions to resolve such problems; 2) Demonstrating the ability to lead a team by providing training, exploring alternative methods and techniques to improve team building and team cohesiveness to accomplish tasks or projects, and to reach a recommended viable course of action to help the team achieve balanced supply support decision making on behalf of customers; 3) Ensuring customer requirements are met within programmatic constraints by providing budget inputs and monitoring and assessing logistics supply support budget milestones for assigned areas of responsibility.
