You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SECURITY SPECIALIST in the Corporate Business & Analysis Group, Security Dept, Security Dept Program & Special Security Div of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.
Duties
You will provide management, oversight, and administration of the Information, Personnel, Physical, and Industrial Security programs in support of various teams across the Command.
You will maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; develop personal growth opportunities; and provide leadership and supervision.
You will provide coaching, counseling, and discipline to employees; plan, monitor, and appraise job results; conduct training; implement enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
You will maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing organization standards; adhering to legal regulations.
You will administer all aspects of the security program protecting the Command from espionage, terrorism, and threats of unauthorized disclosure and/or compromise of information or material considered vital to mission interests.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final TOP SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the grade level or pay band (GS-12/DA-04/NM-03) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following:
1) Apply knowledge of a wide range of advanced security related concepts, principles, criteria, requirements, technology, and practices. 2) Apply knowledge of security program interrelationships to coordinate the objectives and plans of two or more specialized programs to support and promote information sharing and strategies. 3) Interpret a variety of security program laws, directives, regulations, and guidance to assist subordinate organizations in establishing and operating internal security programs. 4) Use of analytical principles, practices, and techniques to review, evaluate, and apply several alternatives according to the security requirements for highly specific situations, availability of materials, relationships with other protective programs, and cost/benefit considerations. 5) Familiar with PHYSEC as it relates to both the command security program protecting classified information and force protection/mission assurance applications. 6) Analyze data related to facility planning and assessments, makes sound recommendations to management, and coordinates internally and externally for implementation of management direction. 7) Read and understand documentation related to facility planning, contracts, and requirements.
