You will serve as a FINANCIAL TECHNICIAN in the ACCOUNTING DIVISION (N01FE) of COMNAVAIRLANT.
Duties
You will do account maintenance and accounting support work that requires a basic understanding of accounting systems, policies, and procedures.
You will do technical work in support of the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit and custody of cash which includes handing cash items or use of cash accountability control methods.
You will examine documents for accuracy, adequacy of documentation, compliance with regulations for goods and services provided to or by the Government.
You will determine pay, payroll records maintenance and completion of reports pertaining to civilian employee of the Federal Government.
You will perform technician work in support of budget analysis and administration such as maintain ledgers, budget formulation, compiling, consolidating, check and arranging funding data.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This is a Financial Management Level 1 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
Qualifications
GS-07:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience using accounting, budget or other financial management methods, practices, procedures, and techniques related to specific financial management functions to examine, verify and maintain and reconcile accounts and accounting data, prepare and analyze reports.
Experience using a wide variety of interrelated steps, conditions, and procedures or processes required to assemble, review, and maintain complex accounting, budget, or other fiscal transactions.
Experience using various accounting, budget, or other financial management laws, regulations, and requirements to ensure compliance and recommend action.
Experience using financial regulations and rules covering diverse types of transactions to function as a technical authority for the resolution of a range of issues or problems.
Experience communicating orally and in writing to obtain and provide information related to organizational, administrative, and procedural matters.
Experience in office automation to digitally create, collect, store, manipulate, and relay information.
