The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Division Chief of Security, Division Information Protection (IP) Functional Lead, and senior security advisor to the Senior Materiel Leader (SML) for the establishment and suitability of protection countermeasures within an acquisition system portfolio for information and weapons systems in development, production, testing, modification, fielding, and sustainment across all national security classification domains.
Duties
Plans, organizes and directs collateral, sensitive compartmental information and special access program security activities for organization's assigned system programs.
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
Develops and prioritizes organizational security and information protection performance goals and mission objectives.
Administers through subordinates, the Program Protection Planning. Identifies and validates mission security needs through evaluation or development of security elements of applicable program.
Represents organization with DoD, USAF, HQ AFMC and various AFLCMC organizations.

- The employee is required to obtain and maintain security clearance commensurate with position sensitivity code.
- Locations are not negotiable. The actual duty locations available may be located on the Air Force Civilian Service website.
- The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.
- Work may occasionally require the employee to work outside the normal business hours.
- This position is designated national security position.
- Department of Defense Security Fundamentals Professional Certification and Security Program Integration Professional Certification conferrals are required within 2 years of the established employee EOD or initial assignment date to this position.
- The duty location for this position is located at Hanscom AFB MA
- Supervisory requirements may be required.
- This is a first level supervisor position providing specialized multi-disciplinary (Acquisition Security, PERSEC, INFOSEC, PHYSEC, INDSEC, OPSEC) collateral and SCI IP oversight and leadership at the helm of the Security Branch (HNIV).

- This is not a remote or full-time telework position. Telework is limited to ad hoc/situational or regularly scheduled in coordination with the supervisor.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Mastery of Acquisition security, traditional Information Protection disciplines, Special Access Program Security, Antitamper, certification and accreditation of embedded systems principles and practices to plan and implement security programs in these areas.
2. Ability to plan, organize and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization.
3. Knowledge of engineering, contracting, logistics and other functional concepts, programs, procedures, and practices.
4. Ability to communicate orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and accurately.
5. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
