About the Position: This position is a Permanent position and is located at the Human Resources Command (HRC), Enlisted Personnel Management Division (EPMD), Force Alignment Division, Fort Knox, KY 40121.
Duties
Ensure all programs managed, are in compliance with applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
Provide guidance, interpretations, training and/or briefings on current and proposed policies for assigned military schools programs to a wide variety of individuals, managers, and key officials.
Retrieve Human Resources (HR) information from a variety of HR systems.
Manage several Active Army and Army Reserve Human Resources (HR) military schools and military personnel management programs.
Compile statistics to prepare and brief senior staff members, command and higher HQs on aspects associated with multiple military Human Resources functions/programs.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent must obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- Incumbent may be required to work overtime.
- Position may require occasional business travel away from the normal duty station.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized experience: is defined as one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service which includes work that involves analysis and advisory service to management on the evaluation of the effectiveness of government programs and operations or the productivity and efficiency of the management of Federal agencies or both. The work requires knowledge of the substantive nature of agency programs and activities; agency missions, policies and objectives; management principles and processes; and the analytical and evaluative methods and techniques for assessing program development or execution. (i.e programs such as military schools for active Army and Army Reserve programs related to Non-commissioned Officer Education System (NCOEs), Additional Skill Identifier (SAI) etc.) Possess experience and skill in applying a wide range of military personnel policies, procedures, and regulations sufficient to serve as a technical authority for an organization on all elements of a military reserve personnel and active personnel programs.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
Education

OR
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree.
