About the Position: Serves as a Requirements and Combat Development Specialist for the Joint Activities Command at Fort Liberty, NC.

Duties

Serve as specialist for writing and developing capability requirements documents. Advise the command on: Mission Area Analysis (MAA), Analysis of Alternatives (AoA), Concept of Employment/Operations, acquisition and resourcing strategies. Prepare documentation required to staff products to the requirements review board. Review peers work for adequacy and compliance with instructions and policy. Triage urgent operational requirements, and interface with acquisition program management offices. Direct the preparation of mission analysis, course of action development to document requirements.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • This is a drug testing designated position and requires the incumbent to complete a drug test examination prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • This position is subject to perform temporary duty up to 25%.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless previously completed.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next/second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Planning and EvaluatingRequirements AnalysisTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-???????12).
