You will serve as a Supervisory Electronics Technician in the WEAPONS REPAIR DEPARTMENT, ELECTRONICS REPAIR DIVISION. C/873 of TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, BANGOR.

Duties

You will be responsible for the organization and resource management of the Electronics Repair Division (ERD). You will be responsible for the effective labor-management relations, equal employment opportunity and affirmative action programs. You will assure that subordinate supervisors effectively carry out these policies. You will be responsible for continuous assessment of the ERD effectiveness and initiatives for process improvement. You will identify and/or establish metrics to analyze key indicators of branch effectiveness from internal or external audits and assessments to assure readiness and cost-effective operations.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialize experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and managing electronic and electro-mechanical repair, maintenance, and alteration processes by recommending modernization of submarine of systems and components for the execution of naval vessels.
