You will serve as an Architecture Specialist at the GG-13 grade level in the Hopper Information Services Center (ISC), N5 Transformation Department.
All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
Duties
You will be responsible for the analysis, planning, design, implementation, documentation, assessment, and management of the enterprise structural framework to align information technology (IT) strategy, plans, and systems.
You will develop detailed system accreditation diagrams in obtaining authorization to operate (ATO) on classified networks.
You will provide enterprise architecture support, coordination, and guidance to system engineers, information technology (IT) project teams, operations managers, and customers.
You will develop reference models of the enterprise and maintain the information in the IT repository using common office software tools, architecture frameworks (e.g. Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), and methodologies.
You will document the enterprise architecture infrastructure, including the business units and key processes, using modeling techniques.
You will create network diagrams used for system accreditation that include detailed information such as the type of hardware, software platforms, ports, protocols and services.
You will determine the gaps between the current and the target architecture and develop plans for transitioning to target architecture.
You will ensure technical integration is achieved across the enterprise by leading and participating in test planning, validation, and reviews.
You will evaluate the impact of enterprise architecture products and services on information technology (IT) investments, business operations, stakeholder satisfaction, and other outcomes.
You will determine viable technology solutions through research, prototyping, and outreach.
You will determine and promulgate information technology (IT) standards for both in-sourced and out-sourced work.
You will coordinate and conduct governance and portfolio management activities associated with ensuring compliance with the enterprise architecture.
You will ensure rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices to all components of the enterprise architecture.
You will communicate to senior leader?s complex transformation engineering plans based on sound return on investment and meeting mission requirement principles.
You will maintain liaison with personnel in assigned and related fields, intelligence agencies, and contractor facilities to discuss mutual information technology (IT) technologies, processing problems and production efforts.

Qualifications

In addition to your experience demonstrating the four competencies above, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS/GG-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as:
Analyzing, planning, designing, implementing, documenting, assessing, and managing enterprise structural framework to align information technology (IT) strategy, plans, and systems.
Developing detailed system accreditation diagrams in obtaining authorization to operate (ATO) on classified networks.
Evaluating the impact of enterprise architecture products and services on information technology (IT) investments, business operations, stakeholder satisfaction, and other outcomes.
Providing enterprise architecture support, coordination, and guidance to system engineers, information technology (IT) project teams, operations managers, and customers.
