You will serve as an INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the MRO LOGISTICS DEPARTMENT of FLTREADCEN EAST.

Duties

You will coordinate industrial engineering technical studies of labor activities to determine methods of improving production efficiency. You will interpret reports, spreadsheets, organizational directives, instructions, technical data and drawings to perform studies, formulate recommendations, and provide findings. You will use technical industrial engineering concepts, principles, and practices to recommend alternative courses of action for engineering projects and work flow processes. You will resolve problems based on an understanding of current and future conditions. You will participate in meetings to establish and coordinate the implementation of plans and designs.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing short and long-range logistics planning to develop and deliver depot logistics elements required to support depot level maintenance and production; 2) Conducting routine analysis and review of both existing and potential problems to assess the logistics impact on assigned workload; and provide solutions; 3) Creating a Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM) to identify program requirements and cost estimates for things such as: manpower, training, technical data, facilities, and support equipment; and 4) Implementing and coordinating support logistics elements for assigned projects to support workload program and ensure continuity of operations. Applicants must meet the following Basic Requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual:

Graduate education or an internship meets the specialized experience required above GS-5 only in those instances where it is directly related to the work of the position. One full year of graduate education meets the requirements for GS-7. Two full years of graduate education or a master's degree meets the requirements for GS-9. One year of full-time graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study. If that information cannot be obtained from the school, 18 semester hours should be considered as satisfying the 1 year of full-time study requirement. Part-time graduate education is creditable in accordance with its relationship to a year of full-time study at the school attended.
