The position is located within the Security and Hazardous Materials Safety (ASH) organization and may be assigned to a geographical location under the purview of the Office of Investigations & Professional Responsibility (AXI). The mission of ASH is to ensure aviation safety, support national security, and promote an efficient airspace system through the development and administration of policies and programs.
Duties
The incumbent serves as a Security Specialist performing multiple, varying, and complex assignments under the minimal direction of a manager, project/program manager, team leader, or more experienced professional in the International Travel Security Branch, AXI-340.
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents)
- Designated or Random Drug Testing required.

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Experience includes: Experience with commercial travel risk management programs, platforms, and/or software and relevant travel risk management procedures, concepts, principles and practices in order to review, analyze, prioritize, and effectively conduct travel security inquiries, preparing reports, and provide travel security briefings to all levels of stakeholders. Experience reviewing, developing, and presenting requirements and content for training courses and maintaining the material. Experience creating, implementing, and interpreting documents using plain language and consistency that can be clearly understood by a wide population, e.g. policies and procedures.Qualifications must be met by the closing date of this vacancy announcement.
