About the Position: This position is in the Naval Medical Center Office of Resource Operations, Personnel, San Diego, California. San Diego is a city on the Pacific coast of California known for its beaches, parks and warm climate. Immense Balboa Park is the site of the San Diego Zoo, as well as numerous art galleries, art studios museums and gardens. A deep harbor is the Home to a large active naval fleet, with the USS Midway an aircraft-carrier-turned-museum, open to the public.

Duties

Disseminate Defense Health Agency manpower related policies and procedures internally and to Market and MTF staff and conducts special studies/surveys. Determine need for additional allocation of manpower resources for the various programs assigned. Develops, prepares and coordinates the Joint Table of Distributions (JTD) and service manpower documents reconciliation. Independently or as a member of a team, plans, conducts, and implements studies involving manpower management to gather factual, historical, and statistical data. Responsible for developing a fully coordinated position for all manpower issues falling within assigned area by providing validated information. Research, analyze, coordinate and implement special internal control actions and complex Management Internal Control Process (MICP) requirements IAW current regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
