About the Position: Serves as a Program Manager for the US Army Material Command, Office of the Commanding General, AMC Analysis Group, located in Redstone Arsenal, AL.

Duties

Oversees and integrates the team?s decision support efforts intended to enhance operational visibility, organization effectiveness and solutions development for the proficient delivery and oversight of installation support services. Analysis and decision support efforts and provides recommendations on new approaches and methods to identify and resolve critical operational problems and challenges. Enable opportunities for improvement, enhance organizational awareness and effectiveness, and collaboratively drive solutions development for the proficient delivery and oversight of IN SUPPORT OF THE AMC MISSION. Leads and participates in assigning work to team members based on priorities, difficulty of assignments, and the capabilities of employee. Provides leadership, professional guidance, decisions, advice and assistance on all matters relating to military and civilian personnel management. Provide oversight of all data analysis related to readiness activities and programs to ensure optimum efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • A secret clearance will be required.
  • Travel may be required 15% of the time.
  • A one year probationary period may be needed.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience in analyzing and evaluating major administrative aspects of substantive, mission-oriented programs. Develop of long-range program plans goals and objectives. Experience with Leadership, professional guidance, making decisions and advice for civilian and military personnel. Measuring established program performance standards and objectives, customer service and satisfaction, personnel utilization and cost limitations for the program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
