Non-supervisory position in North Florida/South Georgia Healthcare System (NF/SG VHS), Community Care Service. The purpose of the position are to improve the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of health care by integrating information and data technologies into clinical care; support the data needs of health services, clinical staff, improve and automate data tracking, extraction, and aggregation required. Assess and optimize data workflows in research, clinical and administrative domains.

Duties

Major Duties Include (but not limited to): Provides informatics expertise, data extraction, and data management to ongoing research studies and operations efforts on a project-by-project basis. Work across many service lines to complete projects. Developing procedures that ensure the integrity of the data for each project. Extracts, and supplies feedback related to databases being used by the principal investigator and or evaluation staff. Participates in collaborative evaluation/research activities including discussions with clinicians and non-clinician researchers to establish data collection and aggregation aims. Produce reports for annual management briefings and budget hearings meetings; prepares spreadsheets, capturing essential clinical or other administrative trended information for leadership. Follow-up/maintenance on spreadsheets, SQL and PowerBI databases (e.g., follow up on proficiencies, licensure, special pay, quality, inspection/monitoring, etc.) for Staff suspense dates for tracking and assurance of notification. Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level. To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 08/29/2023. GS-09 Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-09 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-07. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. GS-11 Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below: GS-09 Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-07 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Research, collect compile, generate reports of all indirect skin disorders and conditions for Annual and ad hoc reports to executive leadership. Responsible for the overall Work flow Systems and Patient Database Management which includes the following modules: VISTA, Live Process, Consult Reports, Service Briefings, and other Community Care Software. Provides performance management support, track and send suspense reminders to ensure deadlines are met in accordance with policies and regulations. Coordinates incoming data from a variety of sources. Performs a basic analysis of the data and generates a variety of reports. OR, GS-09 Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have a Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. OR, GS-09 Combination: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have a combination of specialized experience and education beyond the first year of graduate level. GS-11 Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-09 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Provides clinical and financial decision information that enables managers to improve the tracking of supplies and services provided and their costs. Runs Bi-weekly and as needed dashboard reports for calculation and finalization of amenabilities. Collects, manages, analyzes, and distributing Community Care data and information as part of the continuous performance improvement efforts in the service. Analyzes and advises on the productivity, efficiency, and accuracy of management systems. Reviews information and applies standard statistical and analytical techniques to reports. OR, GS-11 Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have a PhD. or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related. OR, GS-11 Combination: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have a combination of specialized experience and education beyond at least 1 year (18 semester hours) of graduate level education beyond a Master's or equivalent degree.
